Girl.. Interrupted

Yup, after a forced break of half a year I am back blogging. So much has happened that it is impossible to record it all in one post. Sad as I am on missing out on noting down the events of the past 6 months, I realise it was inevitable given the situation I was in. So instead of ruing over it let me get down to writing about the BIGGEST event of this period.
After a delightful 9 months, our bundle arrived on schedule and with little trouble to mama. Having finalised on St. Johns hospital and Dr. Annamma for the delivery just two days before I was due (yes, I ditched Manipal and will be only to glad to tell you why, if you ask) I got admitted on the evening of the 8th February. At 1pm the next day I was looking into the eyes of my baby, well, whenever she was awake at least! :)
Bubs completed 3 months on 9th of May. Her attempts to communicate began in the third month and she has progressed from aaaahs and oooohs to eeeeaaaahs and aaaaoooohs to aaaaeeeeiiiis and aaaaaooouuuuus to ammme, aggooo and what not. She drives her daddy and me just crazy with her baby talk. So far it seems to us that she is complaining most of the times :)
The latest development is grasping and holding the rattle when we bring it close to her fist. She also manages to raise and move her hand about, holding the rattle all the time, for more than a minute now. After a while the rattle goes straight to the mouth :) As long as it keeps her thumb away I am ok with it. Guess its time to buy her a few more toys now that she can hold them.
On the domestic front, I dismissed the cook after employing her for just a day. Mom is here now but leaves for Mbai next week. I am hoping to manage the baby care and the domestic chores all by myself. It may be challenging but I think its all a matter of disciplining oneself. Remains to be seen if those will be famous last words :)
